Spooky Halloween Chocolate Bark Recipe

A quick and delicious Chocolate Bark that even the kiddos can help make! This treat is topped with a mash up of fun Monster Sprinkles making it a treat everyone will enjoy.

Servings: 24

Ingredients

2 cups Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 cup White Chocolate Chips
1 jar Monster Mash Sprinkles
Food Coloring, *If using white chocolate for swirl

Instructions

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat and set aside.

Melting the Chocolate can be done either using a double broiler or the microwave. Make sure you keep a close eye on the chocolate as you melt it so it doesn’t burn/seize.

My preferred method is the double broiler (see post for detailed instructions). Place your semi-sweet chocolate in glass bowl and melt over medium heat using double broiler.

Melting chocolate in the microwave -set the power level to 50% and keep it to 20-30 seconds between stirs at most.

Once the chocolate has melted you simply pour onto a parchment lined baking sheet and evenly spread out with a spatula.

Adding in White Chocolate

If you want to use white chocolate as well you will need to repeat the steps above for melting, once melted you can add in food coloring (we used red/yellow for orange as well as green).

You then take spoonfuls of the white chocolate and put it on top of your semi-sweet. Using a knife or toothpick gently drag the chocolate through to create swirls and mounds for an even creepier effect!!

Cover in sprinkles, saving some of the eyeballs and ghosts to be placed strategically.

Place it in the fridge to set for a minimum of 2 hours. See post if you NEED  your bark to set faster!

Notes

We made 2 different barks, both are pictured below. The swirled one uses white chocolate chips along with the semi-sweet for added color. You can omit that and stick with just semi-sweet like we did for the second bark as well! Get creative and have fun!
