Rice Krispies S’mores Bars Recipe – Layers of buttery graham cracker crust, milk chocolate, gooey marshmallows, and chewy chocolate rice krispies, these smores bars will quickly become a summer favorite!

Ingredients
2 cups graham crackers crumbs
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup sugar
9 bars (1.5 oz each) milk chocolate
~12 oz regular size marshmallows
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate, roughly chopped (chocolate chips could also be used)
2/3 cup light corn syrup
4 tablespoons butter
6 oz miniature marshmallows
3 cups rice krispie cereals
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup sugar
9 bars (1.5 oz each) milk chocolate
~12 oz regular size marshmallows
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate, roughly chopped (chocolate chips could also be used)
2/3 cup light corn syrup
4 tablespoons butter
6 oz miniature marshmallows
3 cups rice krispie cereals
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 350F.
- Line a 13X9″ baking pan with parchment paper of aluminum foil. Optional, grease the paper or foil with cooking spray. Set the pan aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the graham crackers crumbs, melted butter and sugar.
- Press the mixture on the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 5 minutes.
- Remove from the oven but do not turn the oven off.
- Arrange the milk chocolate bars over the par-baked crust. They will start to melt.
- Arrange the marshmallows in a single layer over the chocolate.
- Return the baking pan to the oven and continue to bake until the marshmallows and puffy, about 7-10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 20-30 minutes.
- Make the rice krispie mixture.
- In a medium size saucepan add the chocolate, corn syrup, butter and marshmallows.
- Stir constantly oven medium low heat until the chocolate and marshmallows are melted.
- Stir in the cereals.
- Spread the chocolate rice krispie mixture evenly over the marshmallows.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm.
- With a sharp knife, cut into bars.
- For clean cuts, I placed the entire pan in the freezer for 1 hour and cut with sharp knife letting the bars get to room temperature afterwards.
