Total Time 30 minutes mins
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp ginger minced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil for frying
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 green onions chopped
In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika. Coat the chicken pieces with this flour mixture.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add ginger and garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Pour in the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add the fried chicken pieces back into the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
- Crispier Chicken: For an extra crispy texture, you can double coat the chicken in the flour mixture or even use cornstarch instead of flour.
- Spice Level: Adjust the sweetness and heat of the chili sauce by adding extra chili flakes or using a milder sauce.
- Alternative Garnishes: Feel free to add fried shallots or fresh cilantro for an additional crunch and freshness.
