Ingredients

  • 20 chocolate wafer cookies finely crushed
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 2 bananas sliced
  • 1 quart strawberry ice cream softened
  • 1 20-ounce can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup maraschino cherries optional

Instructions

  • Mix cookie crumbs with melted butter until well combined. Press firmly into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate to form a crust.
  • Arrange banana slices evenly over the crust.
  • Spread softened strawberry ice cream over the bananas in a smooth layer.
  • Top with drained crushed pineapple, spreading evenly.
  • Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then spread over the pineapple layer.
  • Sprinkle with chopped walnuts for crunch.
  • Place the pie in the freezer for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
  • Garnish with maraschino cherries before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • For a flavor twist, swap strawberry ice cream for chocolate, vanilla, or a mix.
  • Ensure the pineapple is well-drained to prevent excess moisture in the pie.
  • Use a sharp knife warmed under hot water for clean slices.
