Ingredients
  

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix plus ingredients required for cake mix, usually eggs, water, and oil
  • 1 can 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 jar 12 oz caramel sauce
  • 1 container 8 oz of whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1/4 cup of crushed toffee or toffee bits optional, but recommended for extra crunch

Instructions
 

Prepare the cake:

  • Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the cake mix box. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan, then prepare the cake mix as instructed on the package. Bake the cake according to the directions, and let it cool slightly once out of the oven. You want the cake to still be warm when you add the next step.

Poke holes in the cake:

  • Once the cake has cooled just a little, use a fork or a skewer to poke holes all over the surface of the cake. These holes will allow the sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce to soak into the cake, making it incredibly moist and flavorful.
