Chewy Monster Cookies are everything you love in one cookie: oats, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and candy. Big, bold, and full of flavor, they’re the ultimate feel-good cookie.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup M&Ms or similar chocolate candies

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  • Add peanut butter and mix until well combined.
  • Beat in the eggs and vanilla.
  • Stir in baking soda and salt.
  • Fold in oats, then chocolate chips and M&Ms.
  • Scoop dough into large balls (about 2 tablespoons each) and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers are just set.
  • Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.

Notes

  • Use creamy peanut butter for the best texture—avoid natural types that separate.
  • Don’t overbake; they’ll firm up as they cool.
  • For perfectly round cookies, gently shape the dough balls before baking.
  • Press a few extra M&Ms on top of each dough ball for a bakery-style look.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
