Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
Mash Bananas: In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
Mix Wet Ingredients: Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the bananas. Stir until well combined.
Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Mix Everything Together: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool & Serve: Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
