Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin thinly sliced against the grain
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil or olive oil
  • 1/4 cup tamari or coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp brown erythritol sweetener
  • 1/2 tsp xanthan gum optional, for thickening
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Blanch the broccoli in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the sliced beef and cook until browned and just cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining oil along with garlic and ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add tamari, sesame oil, sweetener, and water to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  • If using xanthan gum, sprinkle it in gradually while whisking to avoid clumping. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Return the beef and broccoli to the skillet. Toss to coat in the sauce and heat through.
  • Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
