Total Time 25 minutes mins
- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin thinly sliced against the grain
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp avocado oil or olive oil
- 1/4 cup tamari or coconut aminos
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 2 tbsp brown erythritol sweetener
- 1/2 tsp xanthan gum optional, for thickening
- 1/4 cup water
- Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish optional
Blanch the broccoli in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain and set aside.
Heat 1 tablespoon of avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add the sliced beef and cook until browned and just cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the remaining oil along with garlic and ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add tamari, sesame oil, sweetener, and water to the skillet. Stir to combine.
If using xanthan gum, sprinkle it in gradually while whisking to avoid clumping. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
Return the beef and broccoli to the skillet. Toss to coat in the sauce and heat through.
Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
