Peanut Butter M&M Cookies

Chewy, nutty, and bursting with colorful candy-coated chocolate, these peanut butter M&M cookies are a fun twist on a classic favorite. They’re quick to make and guaranteed to please kids and adults alike.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons additional brown sugar
  • 1 large egg room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ cup mini M&Ms or similar chocolate candies

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment.
  • Mix peanut butter, sugars, egg, baking soda, vanilla, salt, and nutmeg until smooth. Stir in mini M&Ms.
  • Scoop dough into 1 ½ tablespoon balls, place on baking sheet, and flatten slightly.
  • Bake 10 minutes, until tops begin to crack. Cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, stir in a handful of chopped peanuts along with the M&Ms.
  • Cookies freeze well for up to 2 months. Reheat for a few seconds in the microwave to restore their chewiness.
