Ingredients

  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream divided
  • 1/4 cup sifted confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 9-inch prepared chocolate cookie crumb crust

Instructions

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and half of the heavy cream. Heat on high for 1–2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Allow to cool to room temperature.
  • Stir in confectioners’ sugar and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the remaining heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture, adding one-third at a time, until fully blended.
  • Spoon the chocolate cream into the prepared crust, smoothing the top.
  • Refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight until firm.
  • Slice and serve with whipped cream.

Notes

  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor and texture.
  • Make sure the chocolate mixture is completely cool before adding whipped cream to prevent melting.
  • Prepare the pie the day before serving for the perfect set.
