Ingredients

For the Danish:

  • 1 can 8 oz refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries chopped
  • 2 tbsp strawberry preserves or jam
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour for dusting, optional

For the Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 4 rectangles (press the perforations to seal if necessary). Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Make the Cream Cheese Filling: In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Assemble the Danish: Spread a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto each crescent rectangle, leaving a small border around the edges. Spoon a bit of strawberry preserves on top, then sprinkle chopped strawberries over the filling.
  • Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  • Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over the warm danishes.
