Ingredients

  • 12 slider buns preferably soft, with a slightly sweet flavor
  • 6 large eggs
  • 6 slices turkey bacon or beef bacon if preferred
  • 6 slices of cheddar cheese or your preferred cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter for scrambling eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for frying bacon
  • Optional: fresh herbs such as chives or parsley, for garnish
  • Optional: hot sauce or ketchup for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Bacon:

  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the turkey bacon (or beef bacon) slices and cook until crispy, about 3–4 minutes per side. Once cooked, set them aside on paper towels to drain excess grease.

Scramble the Eggs:

  • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into a bowl, whisk them with a pinch of salt and pepper, and pour into the skillet. Stir constantly to ensure they cook evenly and remain soft and fluffy. Once cooked, remove from heat.

Assemble the Sliders:

  • Slice the slider buns in half and lightly toast them in the skillet or oven until golden brown. On each bottom bun, place a slice of turkey bacon, followed by a spoonful of scrambled eggs, and top with a slice of cheese. Place the top bun on each slider.

Serve:

  • Arrange the sliders on a serving platter. Optionally, garnish with chopped fresh herbs and serve with a side of hot sauce or ketchup for dipping.

Notes

  • Cheese Options: While cheddar is the classic choice, feel free to experiment with other types of cheese, such as American, Swiss, or even pepper jack for a spicy kick.
  • Make-Ahead Option: You can cook and assemble the sliders ahead of time. Just store them in the fridge, then reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
  • Bacon Substitute: If you’re not a fan of turkey bacon, try using turkey sausage patties or even veggie sausage for a lighter option.
  • Customize the Fillings: Add avocado slices, sautéed spinach, or fresh tomato to create a variation on this classic recipe.
