Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 10 oz can diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 15 oz can chili beans, drained
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro optional
  • Jalapeño slices for garnish (optional)
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  • Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  • Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chilies and drained chili beans. Add chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low and add the cream cheese, stirring until fully melted and combined.
  • Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and Monterey Jack cheese, mixing until melted and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in sour cream until well incorporated.
  • Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with fresh cilantro and jalapeño slices if desired.
  • Serve warm with tortilla chips and enjoy!
